MyChart™: Now Available in South West Ontario

Project Overview

The HITS eHealth Office is deploying Sunnybrook’s MyChart patient portal in South West Ontario so patients can securely access their electronic health records from participating healthcare sites in Ontario.

The project includes two key parts:

  1. Integrating data from ClinicalConnect with MyChart

  2. Deploying MyChart to patients residing in South West Ontario

Project Scope

The project scope includes integrating data from the 72 acute care hospital sites, 4 LHINs' Home & Community Care Services and regional cancer programs already aggregated with ClinicalConnect, with MyChart.

Deployment & Adoption

MyChart was officially introduced to patients of select clinics at Hamilton Health Sciences and London Health Sciences in the fall of 2018. The HITS eHealth Office is currently working with other participating healthcare sites in south west Ontario that are interested in deploying MyChart for their patients. This initiative represents the largest regional deployment of a patient portal in Ontario’s history.
