We are the Regional Lead for the eConsult in the Hamilton Niagara Haldae H.
The HITS eHealth Office is a nimble, trusted source of digital health expertise that partners with healthcare organizations to improve system interoperability, as well as implement the right digital health tools that create meaningful change to improve workflows, data connectivity and most importantly, patients’ healthcare experience.
For nearly two decades, and in partnership with Hamilton Health Sciences, the HITS eHealth Office has been innovating and transforming digital health solutions used by healthcare providers across the continuum of care, from hospital to home, as well as by patients by enabling real-time, online access to their health records. The HITS eHealth Office has led the development of ClinicalConnect, a secure, web-based portal originally used at Hamilton Health Sciences, that has become a provincially-recognized clinical viewer used by tens of thousands of healthcare providers across Ontario Health West Region, with data integrated to and from multiple provincial repositories and other foundational digital health systems.
The HITS eHealth Office has a long, successful track record helping providers identify and implement the digital health solutions that would most benefit their healthcare practices, as well as supporting their patients in learning to use, and fully adopt, patient engagement tools to better empower them throughout their healthcare journey.
Our team is well-versed in a range of regional and provincial digital health solutions, and performs a variety of roles including:
- We operate and support organizations' and Sole Practitioners' (Physicians and Nurse Practitioners) application and onboarding to ClinicalConnect, in collaboration with Ontario Health.
- We operate and support adoption of ConnectMyHealth, a patient portal that provides secure, 24/7 access to health records from participating hospitals in Ontario Health West Region, at no cost to patients.
- We are the lead for eConsult adoption in the Hamilton Niagara Haldimand Brant (HNHB) region.
- We are regional ONE ID LRAs for Ontario Health.
- We have established relationships with Ontario Telemedicine Network (OTN) and OntarioMD, and can connect you with the appropriate individuals to support you with other digital health solutions that we may not directly operate or manage.
